I have my own teeth and hair. I don't wear slippers! I want something that has grunt, I like to drive my cars. It would be in addition to the McLaren although I am currently fed up to back teeth with it. The main ECU unit plus numerous other codes make car undrivable. But back to the Aston, I love the sound and the look of them. But I genuinely am not sure which one. Too many to choose from!

Thanks for all the advice. I'm going to have a word or three with some dealers. See what they have in or whether it's a build to order and get myself a test drive.

I have put calls in to a couple of dealers to see what they have in V12 range...as to budget that isn't an issue. I have also been looking at a Bentley GT3R that has come on the market just shy of £240k. So having a look at as well.

Hi guys. Well I have called 3 dealers asking about a V12 DB9 new one. Did that yesterday and still waiting for someone to call me back.

I will post some pix of my new Vanquish tomorrow ...yippeeee. Seriously though I had a really good drive last night. Motorway plus normal roads. Having now driven both I can understand people from booths say either car is good. For me having a bigger boot is great unlike the lunchbox in the McLaren. The sound system and I mean the entertainment system is far superior to the McLaren. That was just not up to the job. However the steering and responsiveness of the McLaren was amazing. However in the cold light of day I needed something that I could park or get in a car park in London. Don't get me wrong I love the McLaren but I just can't use it everyday. So I shall be welcoming the new car very shortly.

I'm really chuffed. Got to bed it in and I need to have a play to get everything set up how I like.

How does it compare...well .. They are chalk n cheese. Don't get me wrong I like my McLaren but it is just totally impractical. It's difficult to park anywhere other than a field. You need 2 bays really. Because of the doors. Don't get me wrong the McLaren is a great drive I love it but I don't know there is just something lacking. The Aston for me is the better of the 2. It's a great Grand Tourer. I can actually get a suitcase in the back which is good. It's quiet but dab the gas and the sound is amazing. The climate is much better as well. The McLaren always takes about 20mins to sort itself out. I will update the thread when I have done a few miles.

The climate control. It always throws out hot air at first. I had the temp set at 16.5 and it still throws out hot air. But as I say give it time to sense the temp in the cabin and then it settles down.
