Wheel refurb, it's a train wreck

I kerbed a wheel some time ago, it was a scuff to the face with very little metal removed.
The car is only 9 months old and otherwise mint, so I decided to have the wheel refurbed while the car was in for a service at a, or shall we say the, main dealer. I do not know yet where the wheel was sent off to, I made the assumption they would know what to do and left it to them...
I had heard that a refurbished wheel could look like new, however mine now looks like a cowboy has been at it. The main post-refurb damage is to one edge of every spoke, where the sharp edge has been removed by a hand file leaving a wide visible chamfer, making the wheel look different to the others. Plenty metal has been removed, there was no damage to any of these edges by my kerbing it, it's actually in a worse state now than before the refurb. The filing job is under the lacquer. I'd say the wheel is destroyed, unless it's possible to take the entire face down by 2mm to remove the filing job.
To top it off, 2 or 3 of the spokes are now covered in fine scratches and there is a fair scuff near the valve. There are several paint faults, including a white line and a black blob, that are under the lacquer. It looks like the wheel has been dragged around on it's face a bit, after the refurb.
I'll have to wait until Tuesday to complain, I'm irritated that the dealer thought this was an acceptable job, after making a big deal of their quality inspection. I don't even know yet how much I've paid to have my wheel ruined...
With hindsight I should have stumped up for a new wheel, or waited for one to appear on astonmartinbits... Any comments from those who have had a refurb? Is this really the quality we can expect?
