Im not quite sure how it happened, but I think I just bought a V12V Roadster.
Thanks to some of your inputs on this forum, I actualy bought my V8V 4.3 little over 2 years ago.
Its been perfect. Not a single fault.
In the meantime I managed to get my hands on a V12 car; a Maranello 550 with barchetta wheels and carbon bucket seats.
I love the AM brand and special feel and I love V12 engines. Like Tiff Needell said how a V8 might remind one of a brute muscle car but how a V12 says supercar. (for those interested: https://youtu.be/lQVRj0ExVfQ?t=2m28s
So the chance to combine the love for the AM brand with a V12 was a dream 2 years ago. Seeing the cars being offered dwindle in the past few months (DB9 manuals, DBS manuals and V12Vantage), I decided to pull the trigger.
Partially because I managed to get my financial ducks in a row, but partially because I have this weird feeling that such a special car might not be produced anymore in the future. Naturally aspirated, V12 with a 6 speed manual. Its a little boy's dream.
The contract is signed and I will be picking her up in early April when I manage to get some time for a nice trip.
So without further mumbling, here's a picture from the dealers and I hope you like it:

Dankjewel, Danke, Thank you for the kind words.
Very similarly to the V8V purchase, my GF doesnt know about the new purchase. So im trying to keep my exuberance level to a minimum. Very difficult I can tell you, when all I want to do is look at pictures and plan roadtrips!
She must think im having an affair, which in some sense isnt entirely incorrect coming to think of it.
Now to decide where to go to. How far is St Tropez from the Munich area I wonder?
Yes I decided for the Aston, as I was getting screwed over left, right and center when it came to Ferrari. Finding a decent challenge stradale without accident history is like going on a blind-date with an Eastern-European; theyll tell you anything you want in order to take your money aand they look pretty from afar, but are far from pretty. On pictures they look great but when looking in the flesh, the doors were misaligned, the front-bumpers not put on properly. Unbelievable.
Anyway, im a happy chap and I might even take you on your offer to visit St Tropez

Congratulation you've just purchased Little Norman's love child………
Great choice,I'm sure you'll be in for plenty of fun and admiring glances.
Why not grab a ferry and come to Burghley in July so that they can play together……...

CONGRATULATIONS Brakke!!
I know the V12 Roadsters are extremely rare (and expensive) so you've managed to get your self something truly special. Well done, it's a stunning looking car, the red suits the open top well.
Have no idea how you're gonna last till April though...

Youre the new proud owner of a V12V as well!
Seems like a last-minute run on all the manual V12s in the last couple of weeks, happy you managed to nab one yourself!
I dont know how im going to survive 8 weeks. Probably watch youtube videos, visit the AM dealer (there is a v12v coupe there) and I am going to sell the V8V so that will need some time and attention. Ahhh the wonders of first world problems....

There's a little Aston meet in Provence/Luberon organised through a non-AMOC affiliated French Aston Martin Club http://astonpassion.com/ which I'm thinking of going to. Date is the weekend of the 10th/12th June. I know you Dutch have some trouble speaking French (like the Brits! :-))but don't worry ik spreek nederlands, I'm Flemish (not sure if that is better than being French but at least we speak several languages!).
Maybe some of you British PH'ers would like to go to?
I only speak French when Im drunk in which case its neither relevant what I am saying nor does anyone care anymore by that time Maybe some of you British PH'ers would like to go to?
We should create some kind of EU calendar with events, is that not an idea??? And make it Sticky?
I will be on pure adrenaline no worries. Round about the same time last year, i picked up my 550 maranello, also from the southern parts of Germany, so Im very looking forward to the trip!
Im sooo curious to see the color in real life...Ive seen videos and the color is just always slightly different...
