If anyone is in the market I reckon this would be a cracker, certainly going by the optional spec !

Good buy that.
Albeit without imho the number one option, lightweight seats.
It's ok though, you can retro add those lightweights for 25 grand.... biglaugh

Hi guys. Some advice please.

As some of you know, I very recently had to pull out of buying a demo V12VsM and may have to wait a couple of months before being in a position to buy one. As I am very impatient by nature I have started looking at buying a V12Vs with the sportshift as older cars are available and therefore are cheaper.

I am looking at a roadster 2015/15 with 7100 miles that an Aston dealer has this week taken into stock. It is in Morning frost white, 1 owner from new as is described as 'immaculate'

I wander if any of you have any experience with these and could help me with the following:
1, What is the gearbox actually like in these?
2, Is the roadster a good prposition, will I be able to sell it on when the time comes?
3, What would be a reasonable price to pay for it? Their retail price is £116,950

Thank you
January buying a roadster.....you're not going to go wrong price wise i'm sure.

Not being funny but the only way you'll ever know what the gearbox is like is by driving one. I think it's bloody good.....but still bought a manual. However, I certainly wouldn't rule out buying a V12S SS in the future, definitely not.....in fact I more than likely will at some point. Everyone has an opinion, but when push comes to shove it's your money you're laying down, make sure you're happy, not us lot.

Also....Morning Frost.......a st colour rofl

Thanks for continued info.

Does anyone know how many roadster V12 VS have been produced so far for the UK?
Not sure on numbers but I hear the metric is around 20% of Vantage orders tend to be roadsters.

If you're angle is long term value, then you need to remember it's not a numbers car or limited run. Original V12R was limited to 101 hence why they command strong money. I suspect the V12SM Roadster will hold good money as there just won't be that many of them full stop.

I would have hoped a V12SR would be a fairly safe option, however I'm not sure I'd be buying one with that in mind if that makes sense.

Hi, not looking for investment potential but just trying to buy the car at the right price point to limit the depreciation, so trying to benefit from some of the experience of people on here to get some advice on where people see values going if I get in at circa £213-214k. My thinking was that they may bottom out quite high but not sure.
I'd always be looking for a few grand off of asking, however remember the "S" dealers are notorious for not budging on asking.

Really though, you need to settle on what variant you're looking for before you start worrying about prices and deals. I was all set to go for the SS but when I drove the manual (6sp) and SS3 back to back I changed my mind (for now at least). That surprised me more than anyone else, before then I'd not really considered the V12. Get out in them, decide what you want and then start to deal would be my advice.....for what it's worth.

It's done now, but with the spec and mileage of mine, what do you see as a fare figure. Sorry, not had an Aston in years.
To be fair is that really a question you want answering as it'll go one of two ways. Either you'll be pleased you'd done well or you'll be pissed off before you've even got it. The dye has been cast as they say, forget the price and just enjoy it.

Providing you're happy with what you paid for what looks to be a cracking car then that's all that counts. Remember some people would want a heavy discount to buy a bright orange car, others would pay a premium, horses for courses I guess, it's not one size fits all. Look at the Ocelius Teal car, there was a good discussion where some were for and others against.

Looking forward to seeing some pics that's for sure, good work thumbup

That's beautiful I'm excited for you!

Your car has got me thinking about changing out the chrome of my morning frost for carbon/ black items. It looks great!

Cymario, it's a stunner, well done chap cloud9

Re the cost of changing out the chrome etc for CF, it's not cheap that's for sure. Here's the prices I was given (fitting costs in brackets, although I know you can fit some yourself):

Mirrors £1428 (£56)
Side Strakes £949 (£336)
Black Exhaust Tips £594 (£187)

I believe the black DLO parts are around £1k a side for the coupe and not sure on fitting costs.

All in all it's around £5.5k not including fitting of the DLO's.
