I will be in tadcaster next weekend to do the charity detail that was won at the Burghley event in July. Now, I've not been up that way for years. Should I get myself a flat cap or a whippet so I blend in? Maybe a kestrel too? I just don't want to stand out too much.....
It's still 2 and a half hours up north from me, so it's definitely the north. I'm expecting to see a big wall like in game of thrones. I have heard that the Yorkshire types have the same rare breed moths in their wallets as the Scottish.
I thought about loading up the van with chips and gravy, but I'd only get it broken into. "No pies left in this vehicle overnight" I think if I wear a flat cap and don't take my wallet out, then I think I'll blend in.
Anything north of Sheffield is the north. To some, anything north of oxford is the north too. I get called a northerner by the London lot and a shandy drinking southerner by the northern lot, but called a hero by everyone (not fat cake eating bastar*)
Mcdonalds is the same everywhere in the country and has not failed me yet. Besides, i will be working too early/late to go where these cakes/baps/rolls are sold. I do like the idea of chips and gravy though.
