Conundrum time...
Just mulling the potential of one of the above, and would appreciate the learned thoughts on here.
I realise that neither are investments, but which is likely to drop less, and is there much difference in running costs?
Broadly £30-40K price difference, so.......

Thanks for the thought provoking and prompt responses.
Keep em coming....
Havent yet driven either, currently enjoying my V8 Roadster (with added BR oomph), but the pricing on the above are starting to get ever closer to V12S Vantage prices, and seem a lot of car for the money.
I also really like the look of the DB9GT interiors.
Any more real life feedback would be great...

Given that both have the n/a V12 engine and an auto box, It's difficult to imagine that medium - long term, in general terms, vanquish won't be the better investment

Regardless of subjective views on which is the more attractive, that's because history will view vanquish as the more expensive flagship model which is better in ever objective measurable way, including total production numbers

Having said that, GT is pretty much the ultimate incarnation of DB9 (depending upon your view of the Bond edition and to a lesser extent, the last of 9 DB9s) whilst with vanquish, I assume you are talking about the 6 speed as opposed to the 8 speed or the 'S'. If either car follows the pattern of Vanquish mk 1, then given enough time the premium attached to the very best/last version will become most significant

But I still think Vanquish will be the better bet (again assuming we are just talking autos). Also DB9 includes variants with significantly less power than the GT (IIRC 440 bhp for the gen 1 cars) whereas the lowest power vanquish has 565 hp - I think history will view vanquish in the general sense as a much faster more powerful car.

One caveat is total production numbers on GT - anyone have any ideas ? If it's low, that's of course in it's favour

Personally, I'd go for the one that tugs on your heartstrings more, regardless of the reasons on paper. They will probably both follow relatively similar trends and if you even agree with some of my ramblings, it's a hard one to judge with any certainty
As ever a very considered take on things Jonby.
I was actually looking at the 8 speed, and I was fairly surprised that there are cars coming in below £140K, are there too many Vanquishes in the market or is this a temporary Situation with Vanquish S and DB11 maybe attracting trade ins?
Questions, questions.....
