Since my roadster's on its way, I've been reading up on the sportshift but not found anything about Launch Control. Does the sportshift have this feature, and if not, from those of you that have driven a V8 with sportshift, how do you go about getting a good quick launch with say 3000 rpm ?

Regards,

Matt.

Humm, spoke to the dealer and they said you just floor it from standstill, like a true auto, but i'm not convinced seeing as we generally need a bit of rev's to start with on the V8 to get it going at a traffic light GP. (for instance)

I wonder too.

The suspense is killing me, wink so unless I hear otherwise ill be nipping up to the dealer next week to try this for myself in the demo car as I could see this being a major week point in the sportshift cars.

Possibly not.

I'm only 300mls or so from the 1k inspection. Once this milestone is out of the way, then i'll report back with my findings (and damage report) biggrin
Excellent, many thanks for this info biggrinbiggrin

Hope you get plenty of driving in over the bank holiday weekend wink

Having now used launch control I can see why some of the magazines got slow 0 to 60 times.

I was on a nice flat new bit of road and activated LC, which dropped the clutch at 5000rpm and auto changes the gears, however the end result was the wheels spinning, back end all over the place and not really going anywhere. Although quite impressive to show your mates and an easy way to eat tyres, but its not the quickest way to 60mph unless your on grippy surfaces it seems.
