I've got a Vantage V8, lovely car, love it to bits. But I want something a bit more raw.

I've had a 911 C2S and have thought about a GT3 or a turbo. But what have other folks moved onto (or added to their fleet) after a V8V???

Budget is less than £100k and I never buy new cars.

Ah, one other thing - I've only got room for one car.

Thanks for the ideas

Vanquish
997GT3
Ferrari 575
Gallardo
F430
F360 Challenge Stradale
V12 RS
Morgan Aero 8
late 80s Vantage X-pack

I think maybe to all except the late 80s Aston and the Morgan.

The options that I think appeal the most are

Vanquish
997GT3
Gallardo
F360 Challenge Stradale
[over budget] Vantage V12 RS

Guess I will have some fun with a few test drives....

Corvette - yank tank with leaf springs isn't it? ;-)

Note: Ah, one other thing - I've only got room for one car.

jus - can you supply more details. I love the look of the Gallardo and the noise is wonderful. So what's wrong with it? I know the clutch issue is a pain but is there anything else?

The V12 Vantage RS is going to be pusging £140k - out of my range. I am topped out at £100k.

A 997TT is an option. The 3.6 480bhp model will take a pretty buig hit with the 3.8 520 bhp model due soon so I may hold on for the new model to hit the market and for prices to get discounted down based on the must have factor being reduced for the old 997TT.

But, I have driven a 997TT and while it's bonkers fast, glued to the road and goes like stuff off a shoevl when the turbo is on song, it's a bit uninvolved. I want something a bit more raw. Don't get me wrong - I love the 997TT - it's awesome, but it's a bit cold. I was hoping the Gallardo would be more inspiring but the reply above seems to suggest not.

360 CS?

Not bothered about new or old, only criteria is a bit more raw than a V8V. Budget is max £100k and only room for one car.

I think I will investigate the 360CS.

Vanquish S looks nice but it's a bit of a monster size isn't it? I like the nippier feel of the V8V and the 911. It's a contender but I feel - at the moment - I've done AM so let's move on...

GPM3D - I have a lovely silver V8V manual - 06 plate. All mod cons...

Could do you a deal ;-)

er - R8 more "raw" - surely not?
Ford GT - no thanks. I heard awful things about them (didn't that block off the telly send his back as it never worked)

Nissan GT-R - all the car mags reckon it's better than a 997 turbo...

I bet it's an awesome car.

But, fundamentally, it's a Nissan.

No sex appeal. No thanks!
