Thinking of swapping my Tamora for a Vantage, but I can't decide on the best colour to go for. I prefer darker shades as I think it enhances the lines better.
At the moment, my favourite is black, but I've never had a black car and I wonder if they are a pig to keep clean and if they show up scratches v easily.
Any thoughts, suggestions?

Tony.

As long as you know how to wash a car without causing more damage and take care of it, they can always look like this. I never spend more than say 2 hours every 2 weeks on mine - a good wash & dry, a quick hoover, and thats it..I do have all my cars coated with some polymer stuff which is like a good wax, but lasts the lifetime of the paint.
www.gtechniq.com ...it actually workswink
Wow! clap fantastic...... black it is then!!!

Hmm scratchchin not sure now! I normally do keep my cars very clean and it will be a weekend car only, so I think black still has my vote (but I agree, Toro and Tungsten are nice).

Toro does look good, especially from the front and sides, but the problem I have with it (and why I decided against it) is that it hides the rear lights; there's no definition to the rear of the car as it's all just red... With the DBS lights fitted it would look much better IMHO. Incidentally I went with Aviemore Blue for my V8 smile
You car looks fantastic and I've now got a new favourite colour!
Trouble is, I've never seen another one for sale in the colour.

congrats ! smile ...if you live near London, give the guys at Gtechniq a call, as I doubt the way the car is presented will do the black justice....mine was year old and covered in swirl marks frown
Thanks thumbup but I live in north yorkshire. I'm having the car treated with the Autoglym Lifeshine product as part of the deal, so this should help with the swirls!.

Just bought and collected a new N400 Roadster in 'Berwerk Black'. I think that it looks fantastic (but then I bought it so I should). Apparently Aston are experimenting with the use of Xymol before delivery and mine is one of thirty that has been chosen. I completed my first real journey yesterday ( a round trip of 180 miles) and much grime collected on the way. I will clean it at the weekend and see how simple the process is but I am expecting an easy ride given the xymol treatment. What is the recommended way to clean a car to avoid potential damage. The dealer recommended an initial application of something from or called Jeep to loosen any dirt/flies etc followed by a cold water treatment with a light cleaner. Your suggestions welcome.
My dealer told me that a Brillo pad dipped in Vim should do the trick silly
