Watch yourselves out there!

Me and a friend were out driving on Saturday in his (beasty) 2.0 TDI Vauxhall Vectra.

Coming off a roundabout it started to squirm all over the road under power. Wisely he cut the revs and coasted a bit before trying again and we managed to pull away.

Seconds later there's an almighty bang as a Ford Transit (rear-driven) finds the same slippy patch as we did and spins into the armco.

Remember people, winter is coming and water/diesel is not a nice mix!

I was poo-ing myself for the rest of the day. Suffice to say, if I'd collected my new MR2 last week, as I'd been hoping, there's no way Saturday would have been wasted in a Vectra!

I would now be the proud owner of a rather hefy insurance bill...

It wasn't my diesel but I think the point was driven home to it's owner.

I use the A1/M25 junction virtually every month - I'll keep a light foot on the throttle through there in future!

Not had any trouble so far.. :touch wood:
