Lexus IS200 Sport Mods???
Discussion
Hi, I recently purchased an IS200 sport manual, and know already that there are very few mods available for the 6 cylinder engine to make it slightly quicker...but is there anybody out there that may have ANY info or ideas???
I'm not looking at Turbos/ Superchargers etc...want to keep it NA if possible. Standard figures are 153bhp...even anywhere up to 180-200 would be plenty at the moment, as there is hehaw on the web helping me on this vehicle!! Anybody with first hand experience?
Any suggestions would be welcome....but think I may be the only dafty here looking for this advice lol

yeh- was fearing that, I just didn't fancy doing swap on engine at the moment, car has just hit 60k with Full lexus Service History and running perfect...just fancied minimal performance gains as Ive dropped from an Impreza running 265bhp to this lol!!
Missing power already, but still great fun to drive!
Strange though...a Jap 2.0 VVTi Straight 6 that cant be tuned in any way...hmmmmm quite sad!!

Yeh...Ive done S**T loads of research but found that a fair few people have hindered their performance doing this rather than gain anything.
Did all this previously with an Integra which helps up the rev range...just wasn't so sure how an IS200 would cope with this, albeit I know this aint a high revving race car :-) just be nice to have that extra bit of bite!!

Might sound a bit chav, but what about a progressive nitrous system for when you are feeling frisky? It's not like a NOS button in the fags and the curious. It adds nitrous depending on throttle position? and I'd love to swap engine...just that I bought Lexus for reliability and dependability, ensuring it was decent mileage fully serviced...where I spent a bugger load on parts for my scooby.
Its just the same old...now what I have is a car that don't feel quite quick enough for me ...getting too old for this stuff haha
