E70 X5 3.0D, opinions please?

Hi all. I'm looking at buying an E70 (2007/8) 3.0D X5. I can't really seem to find any unbiased owner's opinions, as you all know what Google is like, just tales of woe! The 2 I am looking at have between 80 and 86k miles, which seems about average for this year and type of vehicle. Am I getting into big bill territory!!??

I would appreciate any real life experiences, to help make up my mind.

I owned an E53 X5 a few years ago and it was faultless, drove very well, and I was in general exceptionally happy with it. Would I be equally happy with the E70??
