Hi guys,
I'm looking to change my car and i'm looking at a BMW Z4 (up to a year old).
There are three 1997cc engines all putting out different BHP:

BMW Z4 sDrive28i Roadster: 245BHP
BMW Z4 sDrive20i Roadster M Sport: 184BHP
BMW Z4 sDrive18i Roadster: 156BHP

Is there any point in wasting £1000's on the 245 BHP version when i could buy the cheaper 156 BHP version and potentially have it ECU remapped in excess of 245BHP anyway??

Possible??

Kind Regards

Ashley

Only reason I ask is because I have done it before when I had my 325d (3.0L engine) remapped to give the performance of the 335d hence saving £1000's.

There seems a massive difference in the range of bhp on the 2.0L engines which made me wonder if there was more to it.
