I drove an E34 TDS for a while with 300K on it, a cracked windscreen and an 8 ball for a gearknob.

My E46 Touring has been in van mode and hasn't been washed for 6 months inside or out while I've been renovating my old house, it has 213000 miles on it and the right hand speakers cut in and out at random.

I'm afraid to wash it now because I think the rear arch corrosion is getting a bit out of control under all the grime.

How knackered is yours? ears

Glad I'm not the only one rocking a shed chariot. A knackered Ford or Vauxhall is just knackered... a knackered old bimmer has a certain kind of Minder style class and superiority to it I feel. I think character is the word. I'm not sure even Mercs have it, not since the W124 anyway.

Here is my £275 325i with 150k after 230 miles hammering around Snetterton on Sunday with no issues whatsoever.
That's not bad money even for a scrapper!
