E39 Diff Seal Replacement

Guys,
Currently have the 540i booked into the garage to have the above done (plus a backbox fitted), do you have to remove the spare wheel/go into the wheel well to complete either of these jobs?
Just realised that there is something in there that is hugely embarrassing if so which may make collecting the car a little difficult...

Well, I'll likely regret saying but....I'm currently in the process of moving, my GF's doing the same. To stop it being difficult when her parents helped her I said I'd look after the bag containing a big purple dildo, shed loads of lube, a cock ring and a few empty pack of condoms....
