BMW - dealers struggling with workload! Too many models!?!?
Discussion
I currently have an X5 and 5 Series and have been shocked at the lead times being quoted by BMW dealers for requesting any sort of work on my cars - service, warranty work etc. It seems they can't look at cars for at least 5-6 days and if a courtesy car or pick up and drop off is required it can take up to 3 weeks to get a slot!
I'm comparing this to around 10 years back when one could book their car in within a day or two. BMW dealers are obviously struggling here with the increased amount of models being offered across the board and with things like the 2 series, loads of 3 series models and the Irange set to join things are not looking to good unless BMW invest in service centres to cope with the load!
I recently needed a new Air conditioning condenser in the 5 due to stone chip damage and had to wait 3 weeks to get an appointment with a courtesy car
Seems like one needs to take a day off work to get their BMWs sorted if they need a quick fix as there currently seems no way around this!
