Help! How to force nav firmware re-install (e46/z4)

Hi all

Was updating my dad's Z4MC nav for him, silly me I turned off the ignition when I think it had already started the update, didn't realise as the screen was blank at the time.

Now the car only speaks French or German, choosing English on the Menu just makes it go back to German.

I reckon re-installing the firmware will solve this, but the car now doesn't do that as it sees the disc as the current - how do I get it to reinstall?

Hi Richard

Thanks for the tip. It is a mk4 unit, and I am quite tech savvy so know how to burn.

Will try burning an older disc and then a new one again.
