I have just taken delivery of a 1989 Highline.
It is fitted with Michelin 240/45 ZR 415 94W tyres and will shortly need two new front tyres. These seem difficult to source and I would like to know whether I could fit any alternatives without changing the wheels.

I also need a reliable source for parts. Any suggestions or do I need to go to BMW

Old imperial size wheels and tyres unfortunately. I'm sure you can still buy the tyres from a few specialists but they're very expensive. Most owners have now changed to metric wheels which offer a much wider choice of both wheel & tyre. wink

My personal favourite on the e24, the 17" Alpina Classic... You can't beat a bit of old school dish... I may have a set for sale if interested?

C.
Could be interested. Please PM me some pics and price.

Mine has done 46k miles and is in great condition. It is stuck in my garage at the moment as I am stuck in the house with a broken shoulder. As soon as I can I will get a few piccies posted. As I am retired I use my wife's car most of the time but it will do a few daily duties. I always fancied one and had a test drive when they were new but bought a 735 instead so this is another tick on my bucket list.
