Just looking for a reality check before making a cross country trip.

Looking at a 2006/56 330i M-sport saloon, 65k miles, looks in great condition, FSH, HPI clear, just serviced.

Independent dealer (real business) asking £7.5k, does that look a bit too cheap to be good?

Glass guide is £8.1-10k for one with a mileage of 72k. So £600 below bottom end price, for 7k lower mileage and in great condition.

This is what's on the market at the moment for comparison:
2005 05/2005 96k se 4500
2008 08/2008 97k se est 6900
2005 05/2005 64k se 7000
2006 56/2006 72k se coupe 7000
2006 56/2006 95k se coupe 7000
2006 56/2006 65k m-sport 7500 < this one
2007 07/2007 80k se coupe 7900
2007 57/2007 86k se coupe 8000
2006 06/2006 49k m-sport 9000
2007 07/2007 57k se coupe 9000
2007 07/2007 85k m-sport coupe 9000
2007 07/2007 52k se coupe 10000
2008 57/2008 94k m-sport 10000

Thanks all, picking it up this weekend driving

Almost no budging in the asking price, gave me the usual "already reduced multiple times" etc., but all in all probably fair given similar cars on the market and the valuations I mentioned. My inspection of it underneath etc. probably said "will buy", and my part ex was something that'd be difficult to sell on but got near what I was expecting for it.

I'm sure you've done your research on these but its well worth checking for the hydraulic valve adjuster tap and the fuel pipe leak so you don't get stuck with a big bill straight off the bat.
I had, was aware of the tapping issue. It was near zero when started and there was a slight tapping which went away after a short drive. Quieter than the tapping on YouTube videos I've seen, more of a tick than a tap. I understand that occasional short journeys and light driving cause the issue (goes away if you do the opposite), so I judged that it wasn't a problem. It's only done around 4k in the last 8 months and been at the dealer for a month. I hope I made the right call and it's a good one.

Haven't read of the fuel leak issue, but there wasn't anything to be seen on the ground, underneath the car, or in the engine bay. Full plastic cover on bottom of engine bay meant I couldn't see as much as I'd have liked to.

Shopping list for now: tyre slime, floor mats (does everyone sell theirs on ebay when selling a car?), Brodit ProClip, and a Haynes Manual.
