Getting rid of run flat tires

I have a 125d with run flats, I want to get rid of them because of their price, I am scared if I hit a pot-hole they will shatter the wheel and they ruin the ride.

What are my options, can you mix run flats and non-run flats as my tires need replacing? I doubt this somehow, what have other done?
