Rust proofing an E36?

Just wondered if anyone had any good tips/guide for this? Mine needs welding first but I have to replace at least one front wing so I'd quite like to strip the front end down too and get something inside the wings.

Is the waxoil aerosol stuff any good? I'm also thinking about getting in at the back of the front wheel wells and giving it a proper wire brushing and then hammeriting that area up. Does this sound like a reasonable suggestion? I'd do similar at the back also.

Will hopefully get the underside all tidied up and waxoil there.

Dinitrol sounds good. Would best practise be to paint insides of wings and arches, even underside bits in Hammerite and then dinitrol over that?
