Still not quite sure on this one.

It seems to dumb down the throttle response meaning you accelerate slower, it activates some sort of 'coast' mode whereby the rev counter settles down when you lift off.

But having done 500 miles in 'Eco Pro' and 500 miles in 'Comfort' (repeat journey) I've still returned the same MPG (according to the OBC).

The only thing I've noticed is that it tells me to lift off when approaching a reduced speed limit but that may be coincidence (or the speed limit display option is a rip off).

Reduces (turns off) the AC although you can choose to have that option or not, reduced throttle sensitivity and also disengages the gearbox when coasting which is quite weird.
Which annoys me as I find myself having to use the brake when engine braking would normally be fine. It turns you into the 'phantom braker' on the motorway that everyone dislikes.

if your right foot isn't made of lead and you generally think more than 20ft in front of your bonnet, Comfort will return the same result
Nail on the head as far as I can tell.

Although it does tend to discourage you from putting your foot down as it turns any engine into a 114d!
