If it was £400 I would have bit there hand off, £500 I would think about it and reluctantly paid it but this is a bit of a piss take.
The cars is in for its mot and service next week, I've also brought up an issue with my door( the lock was stuck so when I closed the door it sounded like it hit the seat belt buckle, took a fair few attempts at unlocking and locking just to close the door) also rust above one of the door frames.
I like the car but I fear over the next week the shine may be taken off owning it.
And stop talking about the isf, I've been reading the thread in general gassing and now the comments here plus fuel prices are tempting me
Edit to add to the coment from smashy, they do offer different types of cover, I think the cheapest was just for engine, drive train and trans mission for just under £500. Knowing my luck the bits on the car that gone wrong won't be covered by that.
