F30 (LCI) 340i M-Sport - ordered!
Discussion
After 20 years away from BMW, flirting with Lotus and Porsche, I've now returned to the fold having ordered a brand new F30 (LCI) 340i M-Sport.
I had to take advantage of the great deal I was offered, so the car is pretty much loaded with all the options, apart from the safety pack stuff of automatic breaking and motorway lane drift warnings (if you need those, you shouldn't be driving).
Looking forward to getting it now and reading good reviews is going to make it a long wait until delivery in mid-June!

Yep we need the detail!
About to go into battle this week with BM and could do with a steer on what's out there.
It will be PCP for me I think.
There's a lot of man maths going on in my head at the mo and it's now or never for a fast BM I reckon.
Take the equity out my 320d and let BM take the risk on how much the do gooders shaft us in the coming years. If they tax 340 like cars to high heaven, I just hand it back at the end of the term and buy a Rickshaw.
Does that make sense, looking for reassurance!

Man maths is the only maths! Just put down however much is the minimum deposit you need to, to make sure your monthly rental for the car is sustainable.
As for dealing on the car - I went to a BMW dealer, sat in there, had a chat, got given keys to go and have a drive around on my own, came back and agreed to place an order on a new car from the factory on the same day.
Getting the deal secured there and then, to assure it went through the books by the end of March meant I negotiated over £9,500 off of the list price... but because of that, I ticked pretty much every option on the car spec sheet!!

On the 340i you should be looking at around 20% off the list price. Use broadspeed and coast2coast to spec it up and get an initial price. Also worth building the car on the BMW site and progressing through to get a finance quite, recently even they have been offering at least £8k off.

Deal done this afternoon. 340 Touring, 10.5 k of list plus a px price on mine that was 2k more than I anticipated.
Totally Chuffed to bits.
Gone for the Mineral grey with oyster and some individual black interior bits as a nice contrast.
Gone for delete badges etc to keep a low profile and hopefully the grey will assist in that. I currently have a set of gunmetal grey winter wheels/tyres which will suit the grey better.
To put this deal into perspective, I am only paying 5k more for this lovely specced 3litre twin turbo 6 than I paid for my 320d touring xdrive 14 months ago.
Delivery mid June, but I got the feeling he was guessing a bit around delivery.
Needless to say I cannot wait. The sound and performance compared to the 320 lump will be awesome. I think a little bit of wee just came out!!!!

Congrats Mr Burt
Top work on the de-badge too. That's the correct method to drive a 340i
When I test drove one, I managed to cobble together a few rubbish bits of video, but it's better than nothing:

Edit to add: Guy on F30 forum, who's regular car is a 320xD, has just been loaded a 340i. Here are his impressions: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=...
