Yellow brake warning light

I bought a Z4 a short while ago with the low pad brake warning light on.
Fitted new pads but the old sensor fell apart so i bridged the to wires together untill the new sensor comes.
But the light is still on, rear pads are fine with plenty of life left in them.
Any ideas how to turn it off?
