I am on the verge of placing an order for a 440i GC as a replacement for my current M135i and am undecided as to whether or not to bother ticking the adaptive suspension option. I chose to add adaptive to the M135i when I ordered that and broadly it has done what it says on the tin but it runs out of ideas on a bumpy road no matter what mode it's in and I have since heard it said a number of times that it's not really worth £515 over the standard set-up. Certainly the tuners don't seem to rate it.

The 440i I test-drove didn't have adaptive and was on 19" runflats, and while it was instantly clear that it had a firmer ride than my M135i in comfort (also 4 years old and on non-RFTs), it was not necessarily problematically so.

Anyone got any thoughts or advice?

Ok, thanks. I added the adaptive set-up again.
