In a quest to avoid Black Leather, and having kids that would trash anything too light, I'm taken by the Cohiba Brown Merino Leather for a F31 335d M Sport Touring I'm about to order.

Trouble is, I can't decide what exterior colour suits. Whilst I like the Champagne Quartz, it might be a bit brown overload. Tanzanite Blue looks great in the showroom - but is it a good match?

Any suggestions, Standard or Individual?

Sadly I don't think I can quite stump up the cash for a custom colour like this....

If it marks up badly, then I may have to reconsider. I'll occasionally have the kids in the car aged 6 to 2 - Still in car seats and with an annoying habit of sticking their feet where they shouldn't...

Making the decision this morning.... I like the Champagne Quartz a lot, and wonder whether the sensible move (with young family etc) is to be boring and go with the Black Dakota...

frown

I'm having the instrument panel in leather though.

Sorry to be boring but....

Order placed, Tanzanite Blue, Dakota Black Leather with Oyster Highlight, Fineline Anthracite wood trim with Pearl Chrome finish, Leather Dashboard.

Why? The dealer had a Tanzanite Blue saloon in the showroom with the M Sport Plus package and 19" 442M Bicolour Orbit Grey Double Spoke Wheels which go so well with the blue. I hadn't planned to go down the 19" route, but my resistance was low! It's a gorgeous colour.

With 10k+ options and three children aged 6, 4 and 2, my thinking ended up being that I didn't want to either not like the leather or love it and end up with it damaged. hehe

If I keep the car for 5 years, I'll still have one of the kids using a car seat by the end. Best will in the world, one of them is going to do something daft and the Dakota seems bit more durable, and Black will hopefully hide things. The Anthracite trim lifts things and the leather dashboard, whilst an extravagance, finishes things off nicely IMHO.

Anyway, deal done, deposit taken, March delivery hopefully.
