New X5 - M-sport ride quality

I'm still in the market for the new shape X5 for the Mrs. I've driven a 4.8 SE model and liked it. However got a potential deal on a 4.8 M-sport (sub 6 month old car at a cracking price). The car is some miles from me and I'd have to buy it unseen since don't have the time to travel to see it (not a problem with an approved used BMW). The only thing that is potentially bothering me is the ride quality might be very different to the SE I've driven. Car needs to be a comfortable cruiser as a priority. The M-sport has different suspension to the SE and the one I'm looking at has 21" alloys on it. Does anyone own a new shape X5 M-sport? If so what's the ride like? Anyone driven both the SE and the M-sport care to comment.

What kind of a deal have you negotiated?
More specifically are you paying the AUC asking price or did the sticker ticket tumble with a little negotiation?

I have found both Audi and BMW dealers to be incredibly bullish with their s/h prices

This despite Audi having a yard full of Q7's they cant shift and BMW telling me that they have been ordered by group HQ to not take any more X5's of any vintage but especially recent ones as PX's as they cant move them on

No problem. Not finalised a price as yet - early stages. The car is only a few months old and is well below it's original new cost - hence my comment on the price. I have been looking at these for a few weeks and have found BMW dealers very unwilling to discount them very far i.e. you can get the usual discount from the sticker price but the price doesn't tumble if you start making low offers. They say that there is still demand for these cars despite current conditions - there is some support for this since I've seen cars (even 4.8 V8s) come onto the approved used web site for sale and then disappear off a few days later. I share your experience that they are very aggressive in pricing part ex (one dealer bid £7k on our current X5!).
