Hi, my name is moanthebairns, I’m looking for the cheapest bestest camera out there as I’m a tight and not really bothered about filming too much.

Preferably one that doesn’t die after 5 minutes of filming though.

It doesn’t have to be hd but I’d prefer if the videos didn’t look like something off crimewatch.

ideally if I could strap it onto my bike without it falling off that would be great don’t know about a helmet one I don’t think I could master the complexities of securing it to my lid.

Recommendations?

In no, I won’t be loaning it to my Dad……

it would appear our definitions of dirt cheap are differ somewhat.

I was thinking eh like £30 or £40.

Its just for the odd Sunday, not for everyday use.

I hate gadgets and would probably be bored of it after using it a few times so dont want to spends loads.

someone once posted a clip they shot on like a £30 or £40 camera.

And to be honest the quality was great.

Cant remember what the hell it was called though

Take a shot of mine then...

If you feel the footage is boring etc...it's saved you buying one smile

I bought mine purely cos it was a good deal at the time.
Only used it once..
I might do that.

I'm not one for technology, I have an I phone and all I use it for is pistonheads and football scores.

I normally get bored of things like this very quickly.

Ive just picked up a go pro. Turns out theres very few things to actually film in life that you a) can be arsed to watch back b) wont come back to bite you on your arse at a later date or c)the mrs approves

Im just going to sellotape it to the dogs head to see what they do when i go out.
this, most of the videos are sad as fk.

but for 13 quid it's worth it.

I ordered one after reading this thread, it arrived today . Not got any proper footage with it yet I`ve only been playing around with it but for £13 it`s good. Like Turbofocus says it only records in five minutes sections. It did pack up completely at one stage but there is a small hole on one side to reset it with a pin and works fine again,so I suspect I`ll get bored with it before it breaks.
Me too. Bit confused with the Chinese instructions - 'you press long time' but what I have recorded is good.
Yes I know what you mean have you tried changing the time. "Time will be recorded time taneously".
I got mines today I was also puzzled with the instructions I was just waiting for "love you long time for buying this"

never had a charge in it to take a vidjo on the bike but surprised how small it is.

SVC200?

Around £100, the original video looks a lot better, and it comes with all the mounts/accessories you need, just need a microSD card to go in it.
certainly looks a lot better than the dog cam In terms of quality less pixelated

The sj4000 does look good and they are going for like £60
I like the look of the sony and the hundred quid price tag from £150 does look good, plus its in argos, however no mention of accessories and how much it would be for mounts
SVC200 quality in that video looks superb, what accessories does it come with

Anyone got the sj4000? I’ve looked at a few reviews online and video tests they seemed to be as good as the go pro from what the reviewers say

However nothing Ive seen of the clips looks like the SVC200 that was posted up that’s so sharp, clear and crisp
