instead of me asking every month come the start of the season to see if any miserable bd will go to a track day with me and seeing as some fellow scots have joined who are keen on trying knockhill ive stuck this thread up.

so if you plan to go or want to fling it in here.

heres the first date

On Saturday 31st of may we will run in ‘reverse’ direction and on Sunday 1st of june we will run normal clockwise direction. There will be 3 groups running from 9am – 5pm both days; Novice, Intermediate & Advanced.

its only £100 per day if booked before January. im in as the football season finishes the week before.

im not fussed if its the Saturday or Sunday. anyone fancy it. lot of track time for £100

your alive, im gonna book the sunday that ok with you? decent price for all day, ill just need remember and bring a big flask of tea and loads of bananas.

im gonna dig the promo code out someone sent me and see if that works.

also if your buying a trailer give me a shout, due to the unique sportiness of the fiesta ST I cant attach on to it.

so if your to buy one ill give you something towards it, providing you chauffer me to and thro when we both do track days.

what im saying is buy a two section one, or a van.

I'll probably be up for this but I'll be waiting until nearer the time to book as I've been burned by Knockhill's weather too many times in the past.
get it fking booked, dont bother looking at the weather it'll rain anyway.

ive been there in june with a jacket, fleece and a tammy on. It was that cold, wet and windy i had to buy a second jacket.

24 hours later i was wearing a t-shirt and getting burnt.

should add as prolapse says, give them 3 days notice and you get once change of track day.

That conjures up many images. It suggests you are a fanny
serious its fking freezing up there, your right inbetween hills so when the heavens open and the wind blows you feel it.

yes, but IMO 1st of march is too early to go round knockhill on a bike. not worth it... its cheap for a reason.

I'll be there to pop my trackday cherry. Not sure when - probs not warm enough to be fun until april at the earliest.

If there's a consensus on a date then I'll go for that.

Why are the open days twice the price of the 'full' days (novice/inter/fast groups)?
full days consist of 7 or 8 20 minute sections in which you are out on the track in a novice, intermediate or advance group of your choosing

open day your allowed out for the whole day if you wish but your riding with all classes at the same time on the track.

Any advice for a 1st timer
A mate and I have decided to give track days a go, Knockhill being the track of choice.
I've got most of the gear but I'm not sure about leathers, do you need one piece or will 2 piece suffice.
are there any days for complete novices. I've been riding for a while but never given track days a thought.

thanks
Two piece leathers allowed aslong as they zip around the front

Knockhill run intro track nights as prolapse has said

Just go at your own pace

And Just don’t ride anything you cant afford to bin

you'll be nervous as hell the first few times but dont be there is a lot of cock measuring at track days and very few are actually decent. you wont be the worst as prolapse will be there.
