Going to get a bike to keep at parents shack as a few mates have taken up biking and there is no way I am riding 450 miles a time for a hoon with them.

Anyway, to the question:

Who would you recommend in gods country to do bike set up such as suspension and general maintenance?

Using Steve Jordan (thanks all on here who suggested them) down here in a few weeks so a Scottish equivalent would be ideal.

MTB yes that means I will meet you at KH this year for sure.

I was going to use the guy up at knockhill but mckeann recommended me to DMC.

I was going to rebuild my front forks myself but I phoned him

£70 for a full re build off the bike.....

I was going to be 30 or 40 quid for seals and oil myself.....

ill see what the standard is but ive heard good things

it really depends where your based

I made a hundred mile round trip to Kirkcaldy Kawasaki to get my clearances done and adjusted as they only charged £75 for it!!!! winter rates

I do most of PM myself but for the odd jobs I don't have the tools or talent or time for I use GB motorcycles in stirling.

Ive only had one bad experience with getting work done and that was from Morven Motorcycles where I bought one of my ninjas from. Picked up a cracking bike at a good price so was more than happy to give him the custom

I wanted full service done
carbs synced
braided goodridge lines put on, nothing big

the standard of work was that shocking and the customer service was piss poor it made me get my finger out and do my own work on my bikes.

took a week to get it back, lines started to leak fluid all over my brakes 100 miles from home, carbs weren't synced, sight glass full with oil, loads of really stupid mistakes. took another week for him to fix it I found out he had bought cheap ste lines and charged me for goodridge ones hoping I wouldn't find out.

took another week to the lines done, he then only changed the front line took another couple of weeks for him finally to give me what I wanted in the first place.

during that time he refused to change the 50 quid ebc pads id just fitted as he didn't believe they were contaminated, even after I nearly crashed in the wet after picking the bike up due to fked pads. he did replace the pads with gold st...

it was simply woeful the work and service. apparently I was just one of these people who like to complain......took him two months to do what I could now do in a day for a 1/3 of the price with none of the danger. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Ill see you at knockhill
So in summary: Morven = gash
