Just bought a scooter with matt paint-how to care for it?

As above chaps-just bought a new Honda PCX125 with matt paint (didn't actually realise it was matt until it turned up-hey ho!). How is best to wash it and generally care for it? I'm not a hardcore detailer but I like keeping stuff looking clean & tidy.

Great, cheers! I've read horror stories about using shampoo with wax in it makes the paint go shiny-I don't really fancy ruining the finish in the first week when I wash it!

Cheers for the help. It's a tool to get me to and from work, rather than anything for a Sunday morning ride. A superbike would be a tad overkill I think
