Hi all,
I'm after some kevlar jeans. I wanted to get a pair of Hood jeans with the fancy gloopy armour, as they're near me and I could do with some shorter than usual ones.
Unfortunately, in between car and bike insurance in the same month and a new rear tyre on the bike after picking up a nail, and having to buy a house... I'm a little bit broke as fk.

In the interim, I've been looking at these:

Any thoughts? I know there's no kevlar at the bottom, but my boots would cover that.

I'd get some better ones at some point in the near future, but at the moment I'm in either baking hot (not very) waterproof textile bottoms, or normal jeans.

Also, what are kevlar jeans like in the wet?

this, I bought a set from aldi and the waist was fine "32 but then all the legs were odd sized so they don't sit right.

think I paid about £30 and to be honest they are great for just going to work and back (2 mile ride) and when im leaning down in the garage or at the bsb or somewhere I'm gonna be on my feet a lot

for that price id give them a try for easy rides, better than normal jeans

oh and you can water proof them didn't you see the "wax your jeans thread"
Unfortunately I've run out of crayola. Got a bit hungry the other day y'see? smile
I'll give them a bash on payday and report back. Seeing as I save over a fiver a day taking the bike instead of the car, they'll pay for themselves pretty soon!
