Parking rules?

Hi all,

As a new biker I'm not aware yet, of the rules that apply to bikers in general. Apart from the obvious ones.

I rarely make trips into London, or to places where I need to park in pay and display parking bays, but when I do, I often wonder what's to stop a ticket from blowing off of a bike? Or being taken?

Am I missing something completely obvious? Do bikes have to pay for parking?

I stopped in one bay, and a fellow biker had previously been online to check, and apparently we didn't have to pay? Where did he look online, I can't seem to find it?

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

That sounds like the pay by phone parking app, which is ideal, I use it for the work vans.

I'm travelling to elm park near Horsham this evening, which is why I ask

Sorry, I forgot this was PistonHeads, perhaps I should have been more accurate with my description ;-)

I'm not travelling into London, as has been established, but it is a pay and display area, with printable ticket machines.

Hope this clears the confusion up
