Bike prices on the rise?
Discussion
Bit of a rant more than anything,
I've not had bikes for a couple of years now and thinking of getting another, but, what annoys me is:
Bikes I've owned/considered owning in the past - exact same model/year/mileage etc, now go for hundreds of pounds more than a couple of years ago? And they're older! This can't be just inflation, so are bikes going up in price due to demand from more people passing tests and fuel costs/insurance costs of cars driving more people to bikes?
Just curious as the idea of paying more for a worse condition version of something I used to have doesn't appeal!
Also I see a lot less bikes for sale on PH these days?
Also the amount of bikes with damage is crazy! A lot of careless new riders out there I guess?
I was hoping to find something for less than £2k but now it looks like I need to push it closer to £3k just to find something that isn't covered in damage.
