Isle Of Man pubs. B&B?
Discussion
Howdoo! As above, does anyone know of an Isle Of Man pub that does B&B.
My Mate and I have never been, and we are planning to go and see the classic TT in 2015. We want to ride there and stay in a pub, on the circuit, and just watch the racing, drink beer, eat cardiac breakfasts and sleep!
Done a quick interweb search, plenty of B&B's but can't see anything in a pub... Anyone recommend somewhere? Or are we going to have to walk to and from the pub!
Cheers,
M.

Hi, thanks for your speedy reply!
Yes we are planning to book early, that's why I'm enquiring now. I believe it is end of august, beginning of September 2015.
I made some enquiries with regency travel, to look into a complete package, but their reply was strange to say the least! "no availability for two single rooms in any hotels".
They want to sell us a "Snoozebox Portable Hotel" No explanation as to what that is.. and "VIP tickets can be added after booking" well it would be nice to know what the options are
Further investigation led me to believe B&B is a no go, as most are booked for the following year before the guests leave, and I've read that the ferries can be a nightmare! Hence my enquiries for a package deal. But the reply I just received doesn't inspire confidence....
Then I got another e-mail from the same agency, but a different person, offering B&B, & self catering, and that race tickets will be on sale 22nd November. I didn't think you needed tickets to watch the racing?
So I think We'll stick with the original plan, and I´ll look into the pubs you have given me, and try booking the ferries ourselves.
This is one of our bucket list trips
Thanks again

Thanks again for the helpful comments And thank you shunter for your offer of help. If we get stuck, I´ll definitely PM you
I think maybe I am trying too early. The Classic probably isn't as popular as the regular TT. Suits me
I´ve sent a couple of e-mails to Ginger Hall, but didn't get a response. I'll chill out a bit and maybe wait a couple more months. I´ll keep researching in the meantime though.
My mate and I are really looking forward to it! As I said, it`s one of our bucket list trips It'll be a bit of an adventure before I get there, as I´ll be riding the bike up from Mallorca. An Island to Island trip!;)

Bit of a thread revival, but my friends have a house (sleeps 6) in Greeba which is 100 yrds from the Hawthorn pub and 50 yrds from the circuit.
Just become available for the Classic. It's a house rental, not B&B but the Hawthorn does excellent food if you don't want to cook yourself.
Very (very) nice place.
PM me and I'll forward details to the owners.
Thank you very much for the heads up! But we are sorted now, with a B&B in Ramsey. Just become available for the Classic. It's a house rental, not B&B but the Hawthorn does excellent food if you don't want to cook yourself.

I met a fellow here in Mallorca who used to live there, who knew a lady who does B&B, and he put us in touch.
I also had a fellow come up to me to talk about the bike one day, while I was out for a blast. He was from there, but had moved out here, he advised me to stay in Peel, but I took what I could to be on the safe side.
Really looking forward to the adventure I hope the Buell manages to make it there before shaking itself to pieces!
Need to do some research on luggage now...
