Well my mate Lee has been on about booking another TD. we are both busy with work and family stuff but arranged Cadwell on the Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd Sept.

It's a long way there, 210 miles minimum so no point going for just a day. God my legs are going to be sore after.

Any tips on doing cadwell? I'm in Novices with lee on the Sunday as he did not want to jump straight into Inters which he's never tried then Inters on the Monday. looking forward to trying this track out. Hope it's as good as we are expecting. Having Done Donny, Silverstone, Pembery and Anglesey before.

We are currently trying out different tracks rather than going back to the same circuit. Hoping to get to brands and Rocky next

So just thought I would put it out there and see if anyone is interested or already booked either day?

I have a few mates who are booking this up soon as well. and I'm hoping to find a nice local and close B&B to stay the Sat and Sunday night. Leaving that with my mate to book up the B&B/Hotel

Tips...

Watch lots of on board footage, it's nothing like what you have done previously, it has some very tight and twisty sections, lots of blind crests, off camber stuff to boot and it's very narrow.

It'll take you at least a day to get your head around it so don't rush in.

Other stuff to remember..

There's no garages or power at Cadwell so take a gazebo and genny if you want to run warmers, you will be parked on grass unless you are there the very early/night before, note I think you have to pay to stay overnight also.

It's a cracking circuit, very physical and tiring much better on a smaller bike from memory, oh and stay left when going over the mountain ;-)
great feedback and thanks. check on gazebo and genny

get there early we always do that and why we are going the night before 7

cheers

To add I have a pair of holroyd tyre warmers but unsure what Genny I would need to run it? 1KW enough? only have a 750watt one I can borrow but my mate may be able to get his hands on one.

dont talk fkin wet, you just dont like the drive..

Its the best circuit for bikes in the country, full stop.
1) st facilities
2) No power
3) No garages
4) No paddock (tarmac)
5) Arse end of nowhere
6) Narrow/Dangerous - I've seen too many BIG accidents there
7) Little run off in places - Hairpin, Barn, even hall bends - I've seen bikes cartwheel across and hit other riders.

Other than that it's great smile
Way to go with encouraging and helping out a newbie to the track. Sounds like it's not worth going then wink

Epic track Cadwell... I'm also hoping to do 22nd Sept ... smile

I worked out for most tyre warmers you need a genny of at least 1.2KW
great thanks for the feedback both at least I know what I need

well hoping to be able to see what I thik of cadwell myself next month. As said trying to do different tracks to get a idea of what I like. At the moment Silverstone and Anglesey are top of my list.

Then once I've done brands and Rocky I won't have too many more that are under 250 miles from me. Oulton is on the list if I can get a 105db day if they every do it.

cracking news and look out for a Repsol blade, HRC blade and a few others mates are coming for both days as well. Looking like we are camping there for the 2 nights.

I've booked the Monday and Tues so will see you on your second day hopefully. I won't be going if the weathers crap though as it's too far to sit around in a van all day.

I think I saw you in inters on Monday? I didn't watch any on the Sunday. If it was you, looked like you were going alright. How did you find the track?
I met a guy called Craig wink and he was going to look got you george. I had a cracking time lots of fun but the track was a bit iffy on the Sunday due to the on off rain. Monday was great. Lovely track

One thing I did notice about the locals. Every one as if I felt the track was the best in the world. or telling me it's the best in the world. I almost felt they wanted anyone who was not from the area to say how good the track was.

So by replying it's up there with Silverstone and almost as good as Anglesey did make them stop talking about how good the track was. for about 5 minuets

But it was a bloody good track, But i'm not about to tell them that

I had fun but my legs are killing me today

No it was a old friend called castrol craig wink or used to be

I agree with silverstone not being as good but wanted to have fun with the locals. I did enjoy Silverstone as it was wet and the first time I used wets. I was very impressed with how they work in the wet

re Alex and the pics he told me they will be unable to do those pics again. I seen the camera and tried to get in close as I could
