Have an 848 with a full leo vince sbk system on it - it's LOUD (to me at least), even with the baffles in, not dared try it without..

Don't mind so much on the road, but I want to take it on track - I have no idea whether it will get inside noise limits, but I rather doubt it. I also have the original system sitting in a box, but to revert to that would be a major faff - all the joins are in different places, so it looks like I'd have to swap from the heads right back.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with:
a) What kind of levels these actually make (i.e. is it a problem)
b) If there are any options to further muffle it beyond the stock baffle?
c) If there are specific downsides to reverting to stock (other than generally sounding less awesome and making a smidge less power perhaps)

Cheers.
(p.s. yes, I appreciate this is a bit backwards, but IMHO there's no point in having a great bike and only being able to ride it on the roads at 1/10th of it's potential)

Thanks - the combe link in particular was quite interesting (and surprising).

MOT had an advisory for 'loud exhaust' rofl although that was pre-baffles. As to db meter apps, I'm inclined to believe they're worth about what you pay for them wink certainly not inclined to book a TD on the strength of it.

Sadly looking like I'll not be able to get on track until next year anyhow. Guess that gives me plenty of time smile
