Morning gents,

Currently in the market for a Cbr 600rr and quite like the look of this one.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Immaculate-Condition-Exa...

Only drawback is that they are located up near Newcastle and based down in Bristol.

I thought I read somewhere that there is a 'use my eyes' part on the forum where local ph'ers might go take a look at a bike as an initial check.

I have had a look but cant find anything.

Any help appreciated!

Oh a Honda, very rare. Is there really none closer?
Of course there is, but its my favourite colour combo, low miles and price isn't bad.

Not registered until 2009 on a 56 plate.
I hadn't spotted that, thanks for pointing it out.

I guess it might mean its an imported bike?

Plenty of useful posts on here thanks.

I think the shine is coming off this one a bit...

I have the same model/colour on an 07 plate. I paid £3k for it with 27k miles and in need of tlc. It's currently undergoing a winter restoration including shock, swingarm, exhaust, hangers, chain/sprockets, brake lines, fasteners, etc.

It's one of the best 600RR colour schemes IMO.
Whats the thinking on higher mileage RR's?
I was targeting bikes with less than 10k miles but is this being too cautious?

I know the hondas have a good reputation for lasting but does this hold for the RR's too?

You sure you want the 600rr?

Mate had one, couldn't ride it for more than an hour as his wrists gave in. Never had issues on any other supersport bike, said it felt like it was on its nose all the time, very reactive and squirrely on roads but would have been great on track.
Yeah its a good question!

I have been debating back and forth between the 600rr and the 600f.

Im sure either would be plenty quick enough, but the rr is the more exciting and better looking option I guess.

Im not really planning on using it for commuting or touring, more of a quick blast at the weekend so I probably wont be riding it for hours on end.

I have a '12 FAB. It's got a detuned RR engine and it's chuffin' brilliant. Plenty of power for the road and my level of skill. Took it to Germany last year and to the Dolomites this year.
I think if I get an F il go for the older model as cheaper option to learn on.
I think end up on a supersport eventually but it may be a good idea to work up to it.

Or I could just say screw it and buy an RR....

Looks an epic trip! You were certainly shifting in that second video...

Pretty much decided on the RR, just a matter of which one now!

Small update - test rode this cbr 600f on saturday:

http://www.bathroadmotorcycles.co.uk/viewbike.asp?...

Very nice bike (based on my limited experience....!). Nice and clean, rode well, very easy to hop on and just go. I was surprised at how fast I got used to the sportier position, might be the same for an RR but I know this is more extreme...

Its up for £2995, he dropped to £2800 without much of a fight.

Whats the general thinking? Over priced for the mileage?

Mileage is just over 30k, and its 3 months parts and labour warranty and a full year mot.
