Helmet dryer on MCN

Whilst browsing the new MCN site this caught my eye Clickylinky

Initially sounds like a pretty good idea, further digging seems like they already do helmet cleaning products.

Has anyone tried any of these before?

Only really makes sense if you needed to dry out a helmet quickly and get it back on, as opposed to waiting for it to dry naturally. Presuming you store it somewhere warm-ish of course.

Maybe good for an off roader?

Last time I checked the lining came out of my helmet for cleaning.
Surely its cheaper to buy a second set of helmet liners? problem solved.
This helmet dryer is a bit 'dragons den' with icecream/gyms Duncan leading the 'I'm out' responses!

Not necessarily. If you're riding a track day in 30+ degrees you won't have time to wash and dry the liner.
Thats why is easier to buy a 20 quid 18" fan and plonk the lid on that between sessions. Added bonus is it can be swivelled to cool you or the bike.
And in such heat, it's actually nicer to drench the inside of the lid with water prior to heading out, it keeps the head cool.
For that reason, I'm oooot.

Exactly, in the money no object world of F1 the drivers helmets just sat on a grill with hair dryers underneath them.

No need to try and reinvent the wheel with this one.
