Mini motos London?
Discussion
After seeing 44teeth's/BvG's latest vid, I have a real hankering to have a go on a mini moto around an indoor kart track of sorts - looks like much fun!
The question is, does anyone know of anywhere in the London area (ish) that you can do 'arrive and ride' mini motos? I don't own one myself, so I am guessing that rules out the evenings where certain kart tracks open themselves up to people turning up with their own bikes, unless I go out and buy one of course....

Nearest one I've found is an outdoor track in Brighton

No idea if its any good. Like you after watching the video a couple of weeks ago I had a quite look and thats the only one I've found thats near.
Other than that, Chippenham out towards Bath although its not near.

Where is it Tim? I really want to do this but don't know anywhere either.
Are you going with a group?
It's with Jordan bikes in Leeds +441132383707 to book it. Its 49 quid, You need to pay a 20 quid deposit on the phone and its Monday the 26th at 630 at pontefract go kart track which is just off junction 32 I think. There's 5 of us going. None of us have done anything like it before and all are good lads and none are particularly limber so itl be a laugh. so if you fancy coming along get them rang asap. There was only two spaces left at 4 pm today. Are you going with a group?
Not sure on how the night pans out. Guessing itl be a practice session then a couple of races. I've no idea really. All I know is it looks a laugh and I'll be ste at it.
This is from there last year's event.

The guy also said that they all usually head over to handle afterwards at junction 32. Those that aren't in hospital anyway.

The guy stopping to laugh and then continuing to laugh was brilliant. This is from there last year's event.

It looks a fking hoot
Any guys from Scotland fancy it
About 15 years ago I was in the lead of a mini moto race and decided to pop a wheelie on the start finish straight with a lap to go with a healthy lead over paul25 and Aky.
When the front wheel came down with a hefty bump I ended up going over the bars and landing really heavily on my back just a split second being run over by Aky.
That was the last time I ever got on one of the damn things.

I'm booked on pobtefract west Yorkshire next Monday. Do I wear a one piece? And more importantly how do I become flexible in one week
You just need something you can tuck your knees up in. The most important thing is getting your feet in as far as possible. If your feet scrape the ground you'll lift the back wheel off the ground and down you'll go.First time I ever had a go was at Karting indoors at Gladsmuir. One of the guys were carted off in an ambulance...and that was only during practice!!
Those were vicious little buggers that would flip you off the back in a heartbeat. I believe they were detuned a bit afterwards.

Booked on Tim. They said unless your leathers are really flexible then you'd be better off wearing the overalls and armour they provide.
Awesome. I'm gonna stick my leathers in the boot anyway just in case. They also said take an old helmet as you probably will land on it at some point. Well be there sometime between 6 and half passed depending what the traffics like near Ikea.
Did the above mentioned mini moto racing tonight. It was awesome! Hard work but started to get the hang of it towards the end and finished 12th it of 24.
Had a good race with Tims mate oli at the end but he got me on the last corner, I was concentrating so much on getting him back I didn't notice the chequered flag and we kept racing.
If you get a chance to do it, get it booked it's so much fun.
