I mainly drive my car these days with some public transport and cycling on the side, nearly always for commuting. I rode bikes too but I sold my last one, a Triumph Street Triple, small and light but with 100 horses, a couple of months ago and was thinking of hanging up my spurs after 35 years of biking.

A lass at work wanted rid of her Vespa 300 and after dealing with tyre kickers for a few weeks I jokingly offered her a very low amount and she said yes.

Picked it up 2 days ago and it is really ace. Quick and so much fun plus so easy ride.

Had to commute through London yesterday and I reckon I was quicker and more relaxed than on my motorcycles. Even gave some boys on their Super Sports 600s a surprise.

Loads of luggage space, comfy for a passenger. Why didn't I do this years ago. biggrin

I'm still loving it and it got me through the mess of London today after the city was cut in half by the bicycle races.

Have to add that I have developed arthritis of my big left toe and using a clutch is now bothersome but changing gear on a bike was getting painful.
