Having pretty well destroyed the one piece leathers that I bought last year, it's time to start looking for a new set. These Alpinestars caught my eye, until I saw the price!

I quite fancy an airbag suit, wish I had bought a set a month ago
Still hurting? I don't think these are airbag either, which seems a bit rich given they're £63,000

Something is going on with their pricing lately, tried to buy an item and it was a different price in the checkout than on the page.
I know I'm leaving my purchase too, as its £30 dearer when I click on it than its priced on the main page. I want the cheaper price, along with the 10% which may well prove tricky as that expires on Monday.

Destroyed in a year.....jeeeesus.
You need to start looking for a new hobby. biggrin
Two crashes will do for a lot of leathers, plus they've had a lot of use without crashing.

Went with these in the end, as I couldn't justify the Atem, even when priced correctly at c£750 discounted.

You'll be pleased to know I went with red, rather than yellow, just to confirm my LorenzoLoverLoon status wink

They look really good. I might be interested in a set like that myself.

What's the general fit like for Alpinestars? Are they more suited to tall and slim or more square physiques?
I'm more round than tall & slim, or square. 56 seemed to fit well enough, although a little snug, they should break in OK hopefully.

I think I'm lucky that they break in Ok for me, at least the RST set did. I'll see how these get on. It's annoying that I'm such a tart and don't like leathers that are dark. White looks great to start with, but gets dirty quickly and then it looks crap.

I know what you mean about dark leathers. White has definitely grown on me. Can't you train your butler to keep them clean?

It's the Atem thats got the funky mesh around the nape of the neck.

These are pretty good. it's not that they fade, it's that they get dirty very quickly and I'm not one for constantly cleaning them, even paying someone local to do them is a hassle, as the leathers are never there just when you need them. My RST ones are an absolute mess now just through heavy road and track use and a couple of spills.

Depends why you're using to clean them. I used to use some horse saddle stuff that my ex bought for her horsey stuff. It's brilliant as it's designed specifically for leather, but I can't be arsed anymore. I don't subscribe to the stitch rotting bks either. I can't see that they'd design something to rot stitching when saddles are held together with stitches too.

It arrived today, so pretty quick shipping. Leathers are everything I expected and feel like a quality product, I hope I don't have to test them out, other than riding in them. They'll need wearing in around the house, but I think my diet will need to have been a bit more successful before then. I'll save these for next year though given the time of year were at and the RST ones will probably remain as my trackday wear until I crash them into oblivion!

Another great thing is that it's got some elbow sliders on it, to save me wearing through the leather on the arms. These will obviously be used at pretty well every corner of every racetrack that I go to whistle

I got a free gift so went for what I thought was a bumbag. I got the thing on the link below. If anyone has any idea what it is, other than a pretty feeble and cushioned cummerbund then let me know

You only need to read the review to get the picture. Here it is, for those who can't be arsed to click on links:

Produkt ist wie beschrieben. Gefällt mir gut und entspricht einem guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis

Simples.
I can speak German, this is genuinely without using any form of web translator

"The product is as described. I'm happy and in accordance with a good price / discount level"

Still no idea what it is though.

Ok. I've never been good at blagging.
Apparently a kidney belt provides warmth and support to the lower back, such as when rider jacket rides up. Given that you've just bought a leather onesie from them, this item seems superfluous.
Arse biscuits. That'll teach me to spend more time reviewing the options available as a free gift, rather than assuming I know what it is.
