Tyre Warmer Repair
Discussion
I sat down at the weekend to thread my tyre warmers with bungee pull cord. I spent and hour pushing it through with a pen, shouting and trying like fk to tie a bowline knot. After I finished, I then discovered my tyre warmers had became creased, and as a result burnt the fabric through and one of the wires is exposed.
Its just the front that's like that, rears fine. They are diamond ones, I called them but its been over 5 years since they stocked them and they don't repair them anymore. He says I can get heat proof fabric and knit it in. To be honest, they are fking st, the pull cord is a fking pain in the arse, the elasticated ones I tried are so much better.
so, anyone fixed theirs? or chuck it.
I'm thinking diamond again?

any other recommendations around the £150 mark.

These are on my watch list after a couple of people on TDR recommended them.
I have no experience of them though so happy to be told they are ste to stop me wasting my money.

True, although I did try to find them at the address listed on the website once and it just lead me to a housing estate. I could have tried getting in touch with them I suppose, but u was fed up of driving round by that point.
Yep. Turn left into the estate, left again and it's on the right.Joe burns's dad's place
It's a nice area and a nice hoose

I was going to keep the rear as it might come in handy and isn't broken, if your happy fixing the front and want to use them if you hit the track next year your weclome to them.
We've got a full spare set between us. I've got a front that's fine, but a busted rear! Ooooo matron. moanthebairns said:

Cheers mate but probably best you keep hold of it for now. I'm realistically not doing any heavy track stuff until 2017 now. Toy fund is currently tied up with plans for new road bike.
I'll get there in the end.
