Hi chaps,

Just wondering whether anybody has been to the MotoGP at Mugello - and can comment on the best grandstands? Poggio Secco has been suggested and it looks good with bags of atmosphere and a big screen. My only concern is the length of time you actually see the motorcycles and whether there's much chance of overtaking.

We'll have a good wander around on Saturday anyway (I always do a full perimeter walk of every circuit I visit as a matter of course) but it's nice to have a seat for Sunday so any advice from those who've been would be very much appreciated.

Cheers,

Chev.

Oh and here's a shot I took of Rossi at Phillip Island in 2013 by means of a 'thank you'.

Thanks so much for the awesome responses, guys! Really kind of you to take the time to share your experiences. I think we're pretty much sold on Poggio Secco then - sounds great. I'm so excited about finally visiting Mugello. Actually it was Mrs Chev's suggestion for our summer holiday this year so we're combining with a little road trip.

Thanks, George - great shots. I'm getting excited already! I'll be getting everything booked up after my next pay cheque so will keep the thread updated.

Mind me asking where you're staying accommodation wise? I wanted to get to Mugello this year but could only get hotels in Florence.
Hi Dave, sorry for the tardy response! We doing a hotels / transfers / tickets package with Grandstand Motorsports. Probably not the cheapest way to go but totally hassle-free. We're going to stay in Florence as Mrs Chev has never been and we fancied somewhere with options for night-time entertainment.

Booked our ferries yesterday! Next step is the MotoGP tickets. Then we can piece together the rest of the trip.

Thanks for all the great advice, awesome photos and great encouragement.
