Seriously thinking of one of these for limited road use and trackdays. 3k a year miles max, so considering a PCP deal on it, although APR a bit high.

All litre sports bikes are good, I know that, but never been a fan of 4cyl stuff, always twins. So 1299 is an option, but I had a run out on an R1 at the weekend and really liked it. Very easy to ride and ride quick, but an engine with more character than most 4cyl stuff?

Anyone care to talk me out of it, or indeed talk me into it?

Love the yellow scheme of the anniversary too. Really does seem to be all the bike you need and then some.

Offered me one at £15350 otr. It's pretty tempting.

BTW looked at the CCU datalogger and that is £1200 on top! Makes an R1M even better value!

They are stunning, but 15k! You will never see a good deal on one as they are so desirable.
Yeh - must say that really put me off! £15844 the one in fowlers is. As i would want to use it on the track that kind of money would make me cry if i crashed,
Before negotiation, blue or red offered at £14750 on-line, speed Block £14999 locally to me - all new.
Which dealer is this? I have hit a bizarre problem in that my current insurer will only insure bikes up to £15k max. So my quote at £15300 I cannot insure! WTF

it will be worth less than 15K the moment you ride it out of the showroom!
told them that already. Will ask to see invoice if claimed for they say!! WTF that's with ageas.

Laguna price I think excludes the Akra race can that comes with the anniversary model, at £559.

SO my £15300 all in is not too bad.

Go for the 1299.
Is it better? It's more expensive. R1 seems to get better reviews for road use and track?

It was top of my list as I am a twin man, but was pretty smitten with the R1.
