Strict Service schedule - or void warranty
Discussion
I'm in the process of selecting a 125cc to replace my mondeo for commuting duties and general fun. Now i've selected a bike which i wont reveal in case of flaming etc as it'll get off topic but... the service schedule is something like;
186 miles
497 miles
745 miles
i assume the base figures are KM's
Now i'm told if i want to keep the 2 year warranty this has to be kept to and i cant perform any services myself. At £65 plus parts a time that is going to add up fast especially as i want to go out and 'explore' and just have fun as well as a 10 mile commute each way.
Will this increase to larger amounts of miles past a certain amount? or is this just a money making scheme i should avoid.
If i'm being completely naive please put me in my place, i will be buying the bike brand new.

Sounds fair enough for a 125.
Your maths is crap given the miles conversion from your first post.
What warranty do you get with them? One year?
I'd get it serviced by the dealer for the first year then look after it yourself. They aren't complicated machines.
Your comprehension skills are crap.... if you had read with any amount of concentration i said that's what the dealership said... upon reading the manual i found the schedule that makes more sense. Trying to make someone look stupid over the internet whilst at the same time having no idea what you're talking about has always made me laugh, thanksYour maths is crap given the miles conversion from your first post.
