This may constitute a rant, & possibly in the wrong forum, BUT, I'm extremely grumpy right now:

The nice lady on the weather forecast last night said it would be dry, but a bit cloudy this morning in SE England. The BBC weather app agrees, so does the Met Office local weather forecast.
I am a fair weather rider, & was looking forward to a couples hours ride this morning down to the seaside & back. But I look at the weather radar & out the window & it is fking pissing it down, with no sign of letting up anytime soon furious
This seems to happen with monotonous regularity, usually in summer....
I read somewhere they spent £100,000,000 on a new weather super-computer, so how do they get it quite so wrong?? Any meteorologists on PH could shed some light on it?

Cue 'Southern softy' comments etc... rolleyes

Well.... after pacing around the house like a VERY grumpy caged animal, the missus more or less shoved me out the door at 11.30, with the words: 'its totally dry outside, don't believe the radar, it'll stay dry all afternoon'. What could possibly go wrong? 15 minutes up the road & the heavens opened for a good 10 minutes!!! madmadmadfuriousrage
Oh, & I only bothered with summer mesh jacket & jeans, so it felt like I was being jetwashed. I carried on for another half hour in an attempt to air dry myself, but ended up decidedly fking freezing.

I guess I'll never learn & the British weather will never be truly predictable.....

I find keeping an eye on www.raintoday.co.uk is a pretty reliable indicator of if/when I'll need to get the waterproofs on.
Err... That's exactly what I used. FFS.... furious
