Suppose you had a highly qualified police instructor follow you around for a couple of hours. What would you want them to say about your riding that would make you think 'yes, that's where I want to be'.

What the hell sort of poll is this? Oh I'd want him to say I was utter ste, what do you think?

Do the bike safe course and a report on your riding from a police officer is exactly what you'll get. Personally, I'd want them to tell me the truth, whatever that was. In my case I had the senior instructor and the guy who assesses all of the instructors, following me all day around Windsor. But as a poll, that's total arse. It's a loaded question. Weird.
Of course you want them to tell you the truth, but what do you want the truth to be?
Do you aim to be riding in the exact police approved manner which is what IAM and ROSPA examiners seem to look for?
Do you aim to leave a bit more in hand because you don't have a marked up bike and aren't intending to pursue villains?
Or do you regard the police method as riding by numbers and a bit over cautious?

Perhaps I should have phrased the question as 'How does the riding style you aim to achieve compare with the police approved style, aside from purely legal considerations?'
