With 9 points, no self-control, and enough money to successfully run a car, the GSXR is sleeping. Socks have been stuffed up her holes to keep the spiders out, and she's greased up with ACF50 under a cover. Much like the dead hooker in my chest freezer.

So the cold turkey already begins, I have three buckets, and a list of stuff to do in 2017:

1) Get the old CBR600F running.
2) Get two novice trackdays under my belt on said CBR.
3) Do a 2 day off road course.
4) At least one 4 day run around the Highlands and Islands.

Anybody else have any positive biking goals for 2017? A new bike perhaps? A tenth helmet? A trip to Bongo Bongo land on a GS?

6. Attend wheelie school with prolapse like he said he would but he is in the habit of doing fk all bar talk on the phone for hours about how his mate is shagging john leslie and how fked his Honda is.
Yes that first bit sounds like a good idea. The rest is just goddamn lies.

We should organise a Scotch run out next year as well by the way. The first one to Oban was decent, I don't know why none of us did it again.

Rebuilt the CBR but didn't manage to get to the track on it.

Bought a brand new bike which is a first for me;

Still want to do 4 weather permitting.
If you're looking to buddy up and hire a van for 2018 at Knockhill let me know.

I'm done for this year however.

Yeah. Stuck a new engine in it after I put a rod through the top of the block (my fault). Needed a new radiator, and countless other bits when I was done. In all honesty it runs better than it ever did and even has a fresh tyre to sit in the shed, but the reality is it's 18 years old old, 35K+, with a soggy front end, so still not sure about the track.

It wasn't worth the time or effort, and the bodywork looks like st, but that's what we do eh?

Yeah not sure about the touring credentials to be honest! It is good to work on though.

I'm ste on the track so it would be fine in a sorted state, it would still be fun for me now but the front suspension still hinders enjoyment.

I've looked at plastics but having spent £600 and countless hours, on a bike that with all my efforts is worth £800 and I do not need, I'm loathed to spend another £280 on plastics, £100 on springs and fluid, and another 8 hours working on it when I have two other fully functional bikes, and a family which I'd rather spend my time with, and an off road course I'm desperate to get out with.

I would track the CBR on a novice/sessioned event with a van on standby maybe. Until I have the bottle to track the GSXR.
